What moved GMM stock

Global Mofy AI is a Beijing-based virtual content studio. It builds 3D digital assets for games, film and advertising, and it traded as Global Mofy Metaverse before the rebrand. Nothing new hit the wires Friday. The last real headlines are weeks old, a stake in Kimi-developer Moonshot AI in May and a 1-for-50 reverse split that took effect June 11. This was pure momentum finding the smallest float on the tape.

The mechanics

That June split is the whole story. It shrank the Class A float to about 525,000 shares on a company worth roughly $4 million at the alert. Reported short interest sat near 409,000 shares against that float, a figure that may lag the split, but with a float this thin it hardly matters. When 137 million shares trade against 525K available, the float turns over 260 times in a day and price goes wherever the order flow pushes it.

The alert window

Stock Pulse alerted at 7:03 AM premarket at $4.10. The $6.58 peak printed at 8:45 AM, 102 minutes later and still before the bell, on real volume — 1.8 million shares in the peak minute alone, about 69 million traded premarket after the alert. An hour and forty minutes of window. By the 9:30 bell the best of it was gone; the regular session's high, $5.79, came in the first minute of trading.

How GMM's move ended

The close was $4.57, up 11.4% from the alert but 31% below the peak, after fading all afternoon. Worth remembering what this company is. The reverse split existed to save the Nasdaq listing, the stock lost 97% over the past year, and the split-adjusted 52-week high reads $164.50.

The tell: when a 1-for-50 split leaves a half-million-share float, the whole trade lives premarket. The peak hit 45 minutes before the bell, and the regular session was one long fade.
