Why YMAT Stock Doubled Premarket, Then Sank Today — October 19, 2026
J-Star said it was in talks to buy a Houston factory for drone frames, and YMAT doubled before 9 AM. Our alert came a minute after the high, and the stock never got past it.

What moved YMAT stock
J-Star Holding is a Taiwan-based maker of carbon fiber parts, mostly bicycle components and paddle rackets. At 8:30 AM it said it is negotiating to buy a manufacturing facility in the Greater Houston area. The plant would house YMA (TX) INC., a new entity J-Star wants to use for drone-frame joint ventures. Nothing is signed: no price, no partners, and production depends on closing the deal first. It's the same Houston drone story the company told on October 9, a step further along.
The mechanics
The float is about 664K shares. A headline on a float that small doesn't need to be big. YMAT went from $1.99 to $2.51 in the release minute and kept going.
YMAT by the numbers
The float changed hands roughly 100 times.
The alert window
Stock Pulse alerted at 8:43 AM at $2.53. The top was $2.68, and it printed at 8:42, a minute before the alert. Afterward the stock tagged $2.68 again at 8:56 and once more on the 9:30 open, but it never went higher. The best a reader got was +6% in 13 minutes, inside a 47-minute chop between $2.28 and $2.68. That's a dud. The alert came at the top of the run.
How YMAT's move ended
The open was the last print above the alert. YMAT fell to $2.04 by 9:34, bottomed at $1.72 at 11:04, and closed at $1.83, down 27.7% from the alert. It still finished up 40% on the day, but every share bought in the premarket chase lost money. This is a company with roughly $10M in revenue and negative equity, and earlier this month it filed to raise its authorized share count.
The tell: when the alert prints within a minute of a premarket high and the next three pushes stall at that same price, the run is over.
