Why CHOW Stock Doubled and Then Crashed Today — October 19, 2026
No news, an 11M-share float and 148M shares traded. ChowChow Cloud went from 55 cents to $1.24 in 26 minutes, then spent the afternoon sinking to 33 cents.

What moved CHOW stock
ChowChow Cloud is a small IT services firm founded in Hong Kong. It sells cloud migration, managed cloud and digital transformation consulting to businesses in Asia. Monday brought no press release, no filing and no contract. The stock sat flat around 55 cents for the first half hour, then went vertical at 10:00 AM. No real news, just momentum.
The mechanics
About 11M shares float out of 35.5M outstanding, at a price under a dollar. That is a tiny pool to fight over. The company has already put out "no undisclosed material developments" notices for unusual trading in June and twice in August, so this pattern isn't new.
CHOW by the numbers
The float changed hands roughly 13 times in one session.
The alert window
Stock Pulse alerted at 10:17 AM at $0.96, after the stock had already run about 75% in seventeen minutes. The peak of $1.24 printed at 10:26 AM, nine minutes later and +29% from the alert, on 4.6M shares in that single minute. That high was real and liquid. It was also the top. By 10:30 the price was back under the alert. Nine minutes to sell, and not much more.
How CHOW's move ended
The close was $0.33, 65% below the alert and 37% below Friday's close. A stock that more than doubled in the morning finished the day red. It found a $0.29 low around 2 PM and drifted near $0.32 after hours. CHOW listed on NYSE American at $4 in September 2025 and has spent most of the year since well under a dollar, with the same "nothing to report" answer after each spike. Stock Pulse caught it once before, on August 12, for a +14% move and a red close.
The tell: when a ticker with a string of "unusual trading" notices goes vertical on no news, the first few minutes are the whole trade. The afternoon is the bill.
