— Why it moved
Why FCUV Stock Went Up 9x Today — July 31, 2026
An IoT hardware company shipped an AI document-filling tool, and 420,000 shares of float did the rest.

What moved FCUV stock
Focus Universal makes IoT instrumentation and testing hardware — smart sensors and the software layer that sits on them. On Friday it announced something a long way from that: a Deterministic AI Forms Auto-Populate Engine, a product that extracts, validates and fills business documents without coding or model training, pitched at everything from freight forwarding to SEC filings. The word "AI" attached to a $1.3 million company is the entire catalyst.
The mechanics
The float is roughly 420,000 shares. The stock closed Thursday at $1.88 and opened Friday at $10.22, having already gone vertical in the premarket. Nearly 100 million shares traded across the day, which is about 160 times the float and 19 times the 30-day average in regular hours alone. At that ratio the price is set by whoever wants it most, not by what the product is worth.
FCUV by the numbers
The alert window
This was the most forgiving signal of the week. Stock Pulse alerted at 9:20 AM premarket at $9.06. The worst it traded before the top was $8.42 at 9:35, about 7% under. The high, $17.59, printed at 9:56 — thirty-six minutes after the ping. Then it simply stayed up: 381 of the 384 regular-session minutes after the alert closed above $9.06. There was no moment where holding required faith.
How FCUV's move ended
$11.60 at the bell, 28% above the alert, with a further push to $18.21 after hours on 278,000 shares. What frames it: an offering inside the last 60 days, a 52-week high of $210 that only exists because of prior reverse splits, and a product announced on Friday that has produced no revenue at all. The move is about float, not forecasts.
The tell: when the float is smaller than a single day's volume by two orders of magnitude, the news only has to be plausible. It does not have to be material.
